Classical, acoustic, electric or bass?

Choosing your first guitar or upgrading it for a better model to enhance your playing does not need to be difficult. For the beginner we would only recommend a guitar that has the potential to be of a high enough standard for school exams. For home or professional gigging then we can find you a guitar to meet your needs and budget.

Good beginners

Classical

Jose Ferer produce an excellent entry level classical. With a laminated top rosewood fingerboard in a gloss finish and comes in 1/2. 3/4, and 4/4 sizes. A carry bag and 52 free Internet lessons are included in this package.

Acoustic

Westfield produce a fantastic range of acoustic guitars. Their B200 model is available in five colours and either full size or 3/4. This is an ideal guitar for the beginner or home player. With spruce tops, maple neck and a translucent colour finish the 3/4 size is supplied with a carry bag.

Electric

Both Westfield and Tanglewood produce excellent ‘stratocaster’ style guitars. Their E100 and Nevada range are ideal for the beginner. Both are available in a wide colour range and 3/4 and full sizes. They have a solid body, rosewood fingerboard, 3 single coil pickups, 5-way switch and whammy bar.
